If the serial number listed with photos of this locomotive is correct, then it was built by GE in May 1941 as a 45 tonner for the US Army as number 7078 (c/n 13052) and assigned to the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant B-5 at Kingsbury, Indiana. Note the air whistle on the cab front by the exhaust stack, and a running board full of support equipment. |
