Recently-repainted New Orleans Public Belt SW1200 71 was parked at the railroad’s CLAIBORNE SUBSTATION, along with nearly-new SW1000 units 105 (on the right) and 106. This engine terminal was located next to CLAIBORNE YARD and was closed about 10 years later, during the Recession of 1980. (approximate date of photo) |
