12th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad property in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during November of 1965. Shown here are the Passenger Station's tarmac in the foreground, some of the PRR's 12th Street Car Shop buildings on the left and center, the modern and antique versions of the 12th Street Bridge spanning the mainline, as well as the 17th Street Bridge in the distance. Also note the rubber-tired crane parked on the tarmac; it's being used to construct the modern version of the Bridge. |
