| This spot is near Paredes Line Rd [FM 1847] and Fernando East Rd. This was terminus is of a branch that ran from Rio Hondo ran to a farming area near Fernando TX. It was built during the 1920s and was abandoned prior to the 1940s. It had a short and sharp wye near the end of the line for the turning of small steam engines. The line ended in front of the remains of a roof from a farm barn and or shed. This view looks west. The wye was in the middle of this field and the short tail went north (right side of the field). The white trailer in the distance is sitting on the former r-o-w. |
