| A good variety of locomotives are present at BNSF Murray Yard on the surprisingly warm February afternoon of Groundhogs Day. Parked near the yard office are two Canadian Pacific locomotives (CP ES44AC 9377 and CP AC4400CW 9771) that were assigned to the CPKC Kansas City to Council Bluffs run-through grain service, BNSF GP39-3 2673 (formerly ATSF GP35 1446) idling in the background, and BNSF SD40-2 1957 (formerly C&S 902) trailing on a passing southbound manifest. Prior to the CPKC takeover, this set of Canadian Pacific GEs wouldve likely been from Kansas City Southerns pool of Belles, as the CPKC operations running to and through BNSFs Murray Yard were formerly served by KCS. |
