RVRR GP16 1705
Rio Valley Railroad 1705 was in the New Orleans area, on its way from the CSX to the UP for delivery to the RVRR at Harlingen, Texas. The locomotive was built as Clinchfield GP7 907 in December 1950 and was rebuilt for the CRR by the Illinois Central Gulf into the 4605 in June 1979. It was subsequently Seaboard System 4605, then SBD 1705 and CSX 1705 before being retired in August 1991 and going to the RVRR. The ICG identified this model as a GP11, but CRR/SBD/CSX called it a GP16.
