Here is a photo taken by Mr. D.O. Jones. It was published originally in the February 1979 issue of "Trains" magazine, pages 42-43. Partial Caption: "In times past, diesels then commomplace but now revered in memory did the honors on the Long Branch. In June 1960 at Red Bank, we see . . . Pennsy BP-20-class passenger Shark 5779 on a race special for Monmouth Park." #5779 is a BP-20 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in October of 1948, rated at 2,000 horsepower, and retired in May of 1965.

Here is a photo by Wayne P. Ellis via Rail Photo Service. Shown here (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5780 and a "Shark" B-unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are BP-20's built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5780 was constructed in October of 1948 and retired in May of 1964 after just 16 years of revenue service. PRR DR6-4-2000 #5782 - Pennsyvlania RR
Description:
Baldwin, November, 1948 2000hp According to Wikipedia, these Baldwin locos were produced exclusively for the Pennsylvania Railroad and were delivered in 1948 in the sharknose body style designed by Raymond Loewy. The PRR classified them as BP-20 (Baldwin Passenger, 2,000 horsepower or 1,500 kilowatts). They were originally used on top-flight express trains such as the Broadway Limited, but problems soon relegated them to lesser service.
