CRIP U28B #245 - Chicago, Rock Isalnd!& Pacific
Description:
Built by GE in March of 1966, CRIP U28B #245 lasted until the collapse of the Rock Island. Unfortunatly, no date, locatjon or photographer was given for this newly posted photo. I would suspect this photo was taken at the Silvis, IL shops area and at the end of the Rock Island. Note the scratched up number board. The last view of CRIP #245 in 1987 in the RRPA database shows it sitting abandoned in the Silvis, IL yard - faded, rusted and its engine doors stading open.
