Description:  VRE poppin out of the woods at Fredericksburg Battlefield. A pyramid marking the extent of the Northern Armies push into the South in 1862 was erected by RFP railroadmen in 1903 as a memorial that would be visible to train travelers is showing above the engine.

Description:  Running north thru Fredericksburg Battlefield on track 3 as all the southbound commuter trains have track 2 tied up every afternoon. Bucks in the bank for CSX but a pain neck for dispatchers. CSX is not really noted for their passenger friendly attitude.
